ENOUGH
My name is Daniel Baker. I wonder about things that
impact our careers, our relationships, and our lives.
There are
some words in the English language that have that impact. The word ENOUGH is such a word. It represents a benchmark of certain
fulfillment.
It takes just the right amount of effort,
ingredients, affection, money, bribes, threats etc. to be enough.
For some men enough is too much.
n
Do you think you’re unique enough?
n After
being brainwashed with corporate culture you’re still convinced you’re not a company man and then they play the
Christmas party video.
n
Do you think you’ve indulged enough?
n When you buy that Porsche you swear you’ve always wanted and then you hear the females’ whisper “I
think he’s compensating.”
n
Do you think you’ve borrowed enough?
n When finance companies send you an application for a new credit card and then they reject you when you actually apply
for it.
n Do you think you’ve complicated your life enough?
n When your sob story
becomes so unbearable that even Oprah, Jerry and Rikki cry, “Really, don’t go there!”
n Do
you think you’re old enough?
n When you look at the sexy young stars of your favorite
WB TV show and you fantasize “Gosh, If one of those kids were mine, I would give them … a timeout.”
n Do you think you’re packing enough?
n Whether it’s her suitcase
or your package, it’s never enough.
n Do you think she’s
seen enough?
n When you took your clothes off for the first time
and her eyes welled up with tears and she cried “Honey, please tell me there is more here than meets the eye.”
n Do you think you are man enough?
n Well I don’t want to brag…but
the other day my girlfriend looked me up and down and said, “Whew! I think I have had enough!”
