BRIDGE OF SIGHS
I think we cross many exterior and internal bridges during our life journey. The two longest bridges
we attempt to traverse in life are number one; the suspension bridge to your inner truth or soul in the attempt to align
your work and creativity with the tools and gifts that "God," nature and your parents gave you and number two;
the toll or draw bridges you attempt to cross each day to reach another human being's heart, mind or soul or
all three collectively if true love is at stake.
Are you
willing to pay the toll to reach your destination whether be it your career or your heart’s desire? Will they lower
their draw bridge as an acknowledgement to your overture as a “friendly” visitor and accept your adaptation to
life and your quest to cross other spans that lead to new vistas and horizons? Accurate perception of one's
destination is very difficult to surmise until you can see and touch the river banks. It is very hard to straddle the wide
chasm that links the village of familiarity with the mystery of an unexplored kingdom. Crossing a bridge means making a commitment
to the journey. Some bridges are majestic, safe and traveled with comfort and others are wobbly and challenge your courage.
The real Golden
Gate Bridge is discovering what gifts you have to share with the human race that meekly
hungers for your most discreet acknowledgement or flicker of enlightenment. Ultimately, you are summoned by your "maker" to
make an accounting of what blessings you have bestowed on others who have journeyed with you and to those you have left behind.
