This site is dedicated to those of us who are accident prone. Whether it is insulting someone else (or turning them
off) as the result of a social faux pas i.e. "Curb Your Entusiasm" or getting hurt as a result of a physical pursuit
gone awry i.e. Wiley E. Coyote, we get hurt or in trouble repeatedly despite our best intentions or concentrated
efforts. Learn to laugh at yourself and keep your wits about you. Remember: even a green light doesn't always
mean you won't get blind-sided.
My name is Daniel Baker and I am your host on this web site, I am a right brain left brain Gemini who is a unashamed
Beatle and Chet Baker fan, and who has enjoyed the works of both William Shakespeare and Charles Bukowski. My favorite films include
"Wall Street", "Barfly", "Godfather I and II", "Deerhunter", "A Hard Days Night",
"Dirty Harry", "Sound of Music" and "Wedding Crashers". I am a music afficionado whose
tastes range from "British Invasion" to Soul with Surf, jazz, classic rock, popular vocals and opera thrown
in the mix. To express my love for music I dabble with the guitar and the trumpet much to chagrin of those blessed
with perfect pitch.
I am both amused and disturbed by the hypocrisy and greed that permeate the political,
business, social and sexual climates in such a profound and chilling way in today's world. The voice of reason that
screams for fairness, reasonableness, kindness and the desire to be loved in the moment is falling on ears rendered
deaf by technology, competition and self-absorption.
Societal change is on the horizon ...
its also time for the re-birth of personal empathy, manners and the joy of living and loving in the moment and giving
your undivided attention to your guest, friend, family, loved one or lover and forward your cell phone or IPhone to message
service. Let's get back to caring for someone else's feelings and come home from the ego trip we have all have been
on.
